Visiting Coleman Elementary
Community MembersWhen visiting Coleman Elementary, community members need to:
- Check in at the main office.
- State a reason for the visit.
- Wear a visitor name tag provided by the school for identification.
Visits with students during school hours are discouraged; however, a parent may eat lunch with his/her child and any official may meet with student as deemed necessary.
Volunteers
Coleman volunteers need to:
- Check in at the main office.
- Attend an orientation session with the school volunteer coordinator.
- Wear a volunteer name tag provided by the school for identification.
As a volunteer, students may develop close ties with you and discuss personal situations. To protect our students, all volunteers must adhere to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. This means that we do not discuss, either in school or in the community, any event, conversation, or records that you might have seen or overheard.
